Book: Burned from the House of Night Series
Authors: P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
Stars: 4/5

From begining to end, Burning is well written, which is a fresh wave of relief because the series had started to become repetitive and boring. Burning adds a fresh look into Zoey Redbirds world as Zoey's soul shatters after witnessing Heath's murder at the hands of Neferet's dark immortal, Kalona. Kalona is than sent by Neferet to the otherworld to ensure Zoey dosn't return. Zoey cannot return from the otherworld as long as her soul stays shattered and time is runing short for her to place it back together. Stark her brave warrior steps in to go find her and help her return her soul to her body.
In this duel story Stevie Rae, back in Tulsa, has problems of her own to deal with; such as her mixed feelings for the Raven Mocker Rephaim and hiding her imprint with him from everyone at the House of Night. Also she must deal with the rouge fledgelings who are killing people for game.
Stevie Rae is trying to become a good High Preistess and be a good role model for the fledgelings. How much longer can she hide the enemy and how can she cave the fledglings from themselves? The book is a page turner and is highly recomended to anyone who enjoys fantasy or vampire books.
